In contrast to camera presets and styles in Lightroom and Capture One, the Sony A7R V Hasselblad color ICC profile is based on professional color target photo used to create a camera profile with optimal color rendition and tonality for any lighting scenario, which is not possible to achieve with a preset or style.

• Color target shot on bright sunny day at high noon. At this time of day, when the sun is at its highest point, the sunlight is evenly balanced across all wavelengths, rendering the purest white light while suppressing scattered light. The spectrum of the sun is greater and more natural than any artificial light source. By making the color target photo in optimal conditions, the resulting camera profile is equally accurate in daylight as in the most demanding lighting conditions with mixed light sources. 
• In order to create good camera profiles it is essential that the color checker is evenly illuminated, correctly exposed and protected from color contamination from light reflected off surrounding objects. This can be accomplished by using an open cardboard box clad with matte black cinefoil. An empty parking lot is an ideal place to perform the target shot. The color patches must not display any glare.
