  • Industry standard color target Calibrate colorchecker Digital SG used for profiling the Canon EOS R5 camera
Color target shot on bright sunny day at high noon. At this time of day, when the sun is at its highest point, the sunlight is evenly balanced across all wavelengths, rendering the purest white light while suppressing scattered light, which ensures the best possible color accuracy and true to life rendering of colors.
  • A correct target shot at or around high noon will yield a profile covering all lighting conditions with optimal and most accurate profiles, since the spectrum of the sun is greater and more natural than any artificial light source.
  • The only adjustments in Capture One I use with the profiles are the Curve, Levels, Exposure and High Dynamic Range adjustment tools.

v1.0 Profile launch
v1.1
Outdoor target (Colorchecker Digital SG) in daylight 5200K. Improved color rendering and tonality.
v2.0
Outdoor target (Colorchecker Passport) in daylight 5000K. Redesigned ICC profile base tone curve, new reference color model.
Improvements: Better white balance handling. Removal of color shifts under various lightning scenarios. Much improved skin tones and hair color with corrected lightness. Better rendition of highly saturated colors. Introduces ProPhoto RGB, Adobe RGB and sRGB gamut compression profiles with small differences mainly in bright, highly saturated colors. Smoother tonal gradations overall.
v2.1
Improves saturation and lightness of colors. Improves skin tones. Stronger blue component of purple.
v2.2
Improves saturation of reds, magentas and skin tones.
v2.3
Improves skin tones. Removes slight magenta cast appearing in some photos.
v3.0
The profile color gamut is improved over the previous versions and at the same time colors are much better protected from being oversaturated than before. The improved gamut of the profile renders images a smoother and more attractive tonality with more uniformity across colors. The dominant bluish tone of turquoise which is so characteristic of the DPP Landscape Picture Style is much better matched in the new version.
The saturation level of greens in foliage and grass is visibly better. The various gamut compression versions have been scrapped as they are no longer useful.
v3.1
Adjustment of colors improves the overall color separation. Widening of the gamut in highly saturated yellows and greens. Warming up of the yellow component of skin tones, emulating the hues and saturation of the DPP Landscape Picture Style skin color better and looking more true to life.Strong red and orange tones are slightly less saturated. Blue skies more accurately matched to DPP.
v4.0
New outdoor target shot at high noon using Calibrite Colorchecker Digital SG improves the color rendering and accuracy. Improves skin rendering and skin tone saturation. Fixes issue of too much variation in lightness of different colors. New ICC profile tone curve improves the color accuracy.
v5.0
Improves color accuracy, skin tones and saturation. Greater color gamut improves tonality and make photos look better.
Reintroduces gamut compression ICC profiles ProPhoto RGB, Adobe RGB and sRGB. The default profile “Canon EOS R5 Landscape Picture Style” is the same as “Canon EOS R5 Landscape Picture Style ProPhoto RGB”. The Adobe RGB and sRGB profiles are experimental but will generally work fine to compress the gamut of certain colors, mainly reds, oranges and yellows. The also affect some greens which is unintended.
v6.0
Improves color accuracy of orange, red, purple, blue-green and asian skin tone.
